Installation

Automatic installation and updater

This extension automatically installes and updates all components, modules and plugins of this extension. That means that you do not have to uninstall the old version before installing the new version or unzip and install manually. Even the activation of the plug-in is automatic.

Update checker

Within this package, there is a plug-in called "Webconstruction Manager" which checkes for updates of installed products of Webconstruction.ch. A pop-up will appear if updates exists. If you don't want message of updates to appear, you can disable the "Update Manager - Webconstruction.ch"-plug-in in the plug-in Manager. This plug-in uses remote urls to check for version information. This requires the php setting 'allow_url_fopen' to be turned on.

Edit Flash in article

While editing an article in the backend or in the frontend, press on the "Insert / Edit Flash"-Button beneath your editor.

The button should look like this:

Adding a URL manually

You can enter the URL of your SWF at the SWF-URL text input field.

Changing the directory

To change the directory click left on a directory (at the left)
To change up a directory or the root, click next to "Change directory" e.q. root

Selecting a File

Press on the right on a SWF-File to select the SWF-File you wish to insert.

Setting absolute or relative URL

To set the URL to absolute check the option next to "Absolute URL". It's recommended to use the "Relative URL" option with the configuration (set in the "Content - SWFContent"-Plugin configurations) : "Add URL if relative". This will add the URL of your joomla installation (e.q. http://www.yourjoomlasite.com/joomla/) to the SWF-Path if it's relative. This is recommended, because if you move your site or change the root path, all links will be wrong with the "Absolute URL"-Setting.

Change Settings for the Flash Film

Click on the Settings-Tab
Uncheck the "Use default settings (don't override)"-Checkbox if you want to change the settings specially for your flash. If you going to always use the same settings you can change the default settings in the "Content - SWFContent"-Plugin configuarations in the Backend at the Plugin Manager.
Select the option "Change settings" or "New Settings". Change settings will use the default settings set in the "Content - SWFContent"-Plugin settings in the Backend at the Plugin Manager and override those settings which you change. New settings doesn't use the default settings.

Editing SWF-Content Pro Object

If you have inserted an Object befor. You can select it in the dropdownlist left, next to the top icons.

When selected you can change the file and settings and then press on the "Update"- or "Save"-Button.
You can also press on the Preview-Button, which opens a new Browser Window (or Tab) where you can preview your changes.
There is also an quick preview at the "Preview"-Tab

Hi, i was looking to purchase SWF Content pro, but have a question as to what it can do. I am building a web site using Joomla 1.5 and wish to add a page that uses a web site that i already have that is built on flash (www.divezero.tv). I tried a wrapper, but that is not what i like. Can this product do what i want, if not do you have ideas?

Does this module is suppose to work with xml but it doesn't. I am getting error below. Do not buy this module if there is no fix. Beware. The last person posted and no answer as well.

I deleted the comments. No, the extensions are not free, they were free for one day. I did that because I was over worked and wanted to stop the whole webconstruction story. But then after a day a was motivated to continue again. I need the money to pay my bills. It does take quite a lot of time to work on all these extensions and to give support.
