About phpSmartBackup

phpSmartBackup helps you to maintain automatically your backups. It deletes, depending on the configuration, intelligent your redundant backups, that daily, weekly, monthly and yearly backups get obtained. phpSmartBackup can be used with various server backup programs.

Installation of phpSmartBackup

Open phpsmartbackup.php in a text editor.
Edit configurations between line 19 and 41.
- Set $backupPath to the full (server) path where your backup files are.
- Set $backupExtensions
- If you want to run phpSmartBackup, change $testMode to false. Attention: This will delete backup files which are redundant when runned.
Copy phpsmartbackup.php to your server.
Create a Cron Job or run the script manualy after a new backup has been created
