Embed swf video into article without uploading 1 Year, 7 Months ago

How do I embed a video from a news site into the content of my article with this module? I have properly installed it and the insert flash button is available. When I click on it and insert my url address I get a 404 error. Does the article have to be published first before the video will be rendered in the preview?
Or is there something that I am missing? The video is an swf file.
Are there configurations that have to be made with the module? All have been activated.

Post or send me over the contact form the external swf link and I'll check it. The article must be published first before you can make a page preview. The interface preview should work, when the article is not yet published. Maybe your external swf has permitted loading from other urls?
